Allocation is overwhelmingly split between the two finalist clubs, with the remainder going to the FA's own member and partner network — which is why the ticket problem here is completely different from every other event on this site.
Seat — tickets
Read this part carefully, because it is the law rather than our opinion. Reselling tickets for designated football matches in England and Wales is a criminal offence under section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994. That covers the FA Cup Final. There is no legitimate resale market for this ticket, and the listings you will find on secondary sites carry a real risk of being cancelled at the turnstile as well as exposing the seller to prosecution. The only routes in are your club's ballot if your team reaches the final, the FA's official channels, and official hospitality packages sold by Wembley itself.
Stay — where to sleep
Hilton London Wembley or Novotel Wembley
Both face the stadium across the plaza. Painless for late finishes; rates jump on final and NFL weekends — book early.
Premier Inn London Wembley Park
Reliable budget bed five minutes from the arch.
Stay central on the Jubilee line
Anywhere near the Jubilee (Waterloo, Southwark, Baker Street via change) is a one-seat ride in — do the tourist weekend and commute to the match.
Go — getting there
- Tube is the only sane answer: Wembley Park station, then the 10-minute walk down Olympic Way to the arch. Allow 45 min from central London.
- Wembley Stadium rail station (Chiltern line from Marylebone) is the quieter back door.
- Driving on event days is a mistake — resident parking zones for miles. Don't.
Make a trip of it
Cup final day is a full day out — get to Wembley Park early, walk down Olympic Way while it is still filling up, and do not drive under any circumstances.
