Getting there

Where to stay

Shared by every event in this building. Which tier is worth it changes with the event — a fight weekend and a Sunday league game price the same room very differently — but the geography does not.

Best base

Milan, near Centrale or Porta Garibaldi

Direct trains to Monza, and a proper city for the evenings. Rates rise for race week but nothing like a Vegas or Austin weekend.

Smart

Monza itself

Walk or short shuttle to the gates and skip the train entirely. Limited stock, so it goes early.

Budget

Sesto San Giovanni or the northern suburbs

On the same rail line, priced well below central Milan, and still twenty minutes from either end.

Make a trip of it

The park itself is worth arriving early for — the old banked oval is still standing and you can walk to it. In Milan: the Duomo roof rather than just the square, Navigli in the evening, and the Ferrari and Alfa museums are both day trips if the weekend runs long.
