- Foot passenger plus shuttle is cheaper and far less stressful than taking a car across. The car ferry costs several times more and you will not need the car once you are there.
- From London: train to Portsmouth Harbour, walk onto the fast cat, and you are in Ryde in twenty minutes. Door to campsite in about three hours.
Make a trip of it
Add two days. The island in June is genuinely worth seeing and you are already paying for the crossing -- doing the festival as a straight in-and-out is the most common mistake here.
