What it is
Super Bowl LXI comes to SoFi on 14 February 2027 — the first Valentine's Day Super Bowl, and LA's second hosting this decade. The game is the finale of a full week: Opening Night, the fan Experience, and a citywide run of parties and concerts that mostly cluster around LA Live downtown. Nobody knows who is playing until a fortnight before, which is exactly why the ticket market behaves like no other event on this site.
Seat — tickets
There is effectively no face-value route for a neutral: allocations go to the two teams, the league and partners, and the NFL's own on-sale is a token lottery. This is a pure resale market, and it has a well-documented rhythm: prices peak right after the conference championships when both fanbases pile in, then typically slide through Super Bowl week itself, with the historic dip landing in the final 48 hours as brokers dump inventory. Buying early costs a premium for certainty; buying late needs nerve and flexible seats. Whichever you do, compare all-in prices — checkout fees on Super Bowl inventory are savage.
Peak = the week after the conference championships. The dip, most years, is the final 48 hours. If either finalist travels badly (or it's a repeat matchup), the dip is deeper.

Stay — where to sleep
Airport hotels on Century Blvd
Unglamorous but 10 minutes from the stadium, direct airport access and the sanest rates on a big weekend. For a fly-in-fly-out event trip this is the smart play.
Culver City boutiques or Santa Monica 3-4 stars
A real LA holiday base — beach, food, walkable evenings — 20-35 minutes from Inglewood outside rush hour. Book the ride windows around the event, not the distance.
DTLA around LA Live
The nightlife-and-restaurants base, and where most of the surrounding events cluster on a Super Bowl week. 25-40 minutes to the stadium depending on traffic.
Go — getting there
- LA is a car city and Inglewood is no exception: there is no rail stop at the door. The Metro K line's Downtown Inglewood station is a 25-30 minute walk or a short shuttle on event days.
- Rideshare works but budget for it — surge after a big game is brutal, and the drop-off zones are a 10-15 minute walk from the gates. Leaving, walk 15 minutes away from the stadium before ordering the car.
- From the UK: direct London-LAX is 11 hours. Land, and you are closer to the stadium than to most of the city — an airport-corridor hotel is genuinely convenient here.
- Driving: parking must be pre-booked (no cash sales on the day) and the lots clear slowly. If you must drive, park in zone-adjacent lots and walk the last half mile.
Make a trip of it
Book the hotel NOW and the ticket later — beds are the part that only gets worse. Fly into LAX, stay the airport corridor or Culver City, and treat downtown's Super Bowl week events as the reason to arrive Wednesday.
