Ticket advice and buying windows are event-specific — pick the one you are going to.
Go — getting there
- There is no 'getting to the circuit' — the circuit comes to the Strip. Your real decision is which zone your ticket is in and which hotel lets you walk to your gate without crossing the track.
- Road closures start days before race weekend and pedestrian bridges get gated — check the official access map against your hotel BEFORE booking, not after.
- From the UK: the race's late-night schedule (Sat ~10pm local) is actually friendly for UK body clocks — it's Sunday morning UK time. Fly in Thursday, leave Monday.
Stay — where to sleep
On the track
Venetian / Palazzo or Treasure Island
Inside the circuit perimeter with views over sections of track — premium priced, but you skip the access-gate lottery entirely.
Smart
Westgate or Sahara
Just off the circuit's north end — walkable to gates, and rates stay far saner than the mid-Strip during race week.
Budget
Downtown (Fremont) hotels
Half the price of the Strip in race week; 15-minute rideshare to the north gates before closures tighten.
Make a trip of it
Sphere shows pause for race week operations — book around it. Fan zones and driver appearances run Wed–Fri; the Wed/Thu atmosphere is the underrated part of the week.
