Getting there
- This is the least logistically demanding festival in Britain. Mile End and Bethnal Green on the Central line, Hackney Wick on the Overground, and you walk in. No coach, no campsite, no shuttle.
- Leaving is the only friction: 40,000 people funnel towards the same three stations at the same time. Walk fifteen minutes to a station nobody else is using, or stay in the park until the crush clears.
- Because it is in London, this is the one festival on the list where a day ticket genuinely works -- you can go home and come back.
Where to stay
Shared by every event in this building. Which tier is worth it changes with the event — a fight weekend and a Sunday league game price the same room very differently — but the geography does not.

Walk or one stop to the gates, and the best part of east London for the evenings either side.

Big modern hotel stock built for the Olympic park, two stops out, consistently cheaper than Shoreditch.

Direct lines in, and you are placed for the rest of London if the festival is one day of a longer trip.
Make a trip of it
Broadway Market on Saturday, Columbia Road flower market on Sunday morning, and the canal walk from Victoria Park to Limehouse are all within a mile of the gates. This is the festival where the surrounding days are genuinely worth planning.
